Bobby credits legendary writers Shel Silverstein, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson with helping shape his personal style. Political statements, personal mantras, real-life situations, and the examination of the human condition all find a place in Bobby’s diverse material. CHAD BROCK, a native of Ocala, Florida moved to Nashville in 1992. Before landing his first major label deal with Warner Bros. Records, he paid his dues by gaining a rich bank of experience working the road and honing his skills as a performer. Chad graduated to the major league of Country Music with the success of the release of his namesake album project, Chad Brock, in 1998, which produced his first #1 single, “Ordinary Life,” and earned him a spot on Alan Jackson’s High Mileage Tour. His sophomore project, Yes! found Chad hosting guest artists of the caliber of George Jones and Hank Williams Jr. and building an even bigger audience for his music. His latest collection, Chad Brock III has sealed his position as not only a young artist with proven hit power, but as a major contender for country music superstardom. Chad has recently signed with Broken Bow and joined up with the likes of known artists such as Joe Diffie, Sherri Austin, and Craig Morgan. With a new album in the works and a new single on the charts, life is good for this Florida native, and he says, “I’m just having a good time.”
RHETT AKINS, born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia, launched his career in 1995 with his debut album A Thousand Memories. Two additional albums followed – Somebody New and What Livin’s All About. During his career, Akins has placed several singles at the top of the charts including “She Said Yes,” “Don’t Get Me Started,” “That Ain’t My Truck,” “Better Than It Used To Be,” and “More Than Everything.” One of the career achievements he is very proud of is serving as the National Music Industry Spokesperson for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Akins was accustomed to the work the clubs do having spent a lot of time at the Boys Club in his hometown as a child. “It’s the giving not the taking that makes life worthwhile,” says Akins, and lending his celebrity to help out with such a worthwhile organization was his way of giving back. Akins next album features the crowd-favorite “Kiss My Country Ass” with bad-boy Hank Williams Jr.
DARYLE SINGLETARY, born in Whigham, Georgia, landed his first record deal with Giant Records. With his impressive baritone voice and love of traditional sounding country music, he enjoyed the success of “I Let Her Lie,” and “Too Much Fun.” Singletary’s new record deal with Audium/Koch Records launched the album That’s Why I Sing This Way, produced by Greg Cole. “I Knew That I Loved You” a cut on the new album was a pop hit for Savage Garden, but as Daryle says “A great song is a great song, whether it’s sung by a country artist or by a pop artist.” The fact that he can branch out in that direction and still embrace the straight-ahead country that brought him to Nashville is part of what he cherished about his new venture. Daryle looks forward to the release of his latest project that will feature special guests Charlie Daniels and Rhonda Vincent, due out spring 2005 on Koch Records.
