Six Flags Great America, Gurnee,IL.

On 7/27/05 Jon & I broke in our season passes by taking 4 of my Grandkids for 7 hours of fun in the sun! Here's Codey, Katelynn, Shyan, and Rayeanne taking a break on the Batmobile.
Shyan wasn't tall enough yet this year for all of the rides but the other kids were nice enough to accompany her on many of the smaller rides.
Katelynn and Rayeanne had a blast on this ride!!
they are in seats 6&7 in the back row.

I wish I had taken pictures of the water Park but I spent all of my time in the wave pool when we got there at the end of our day. If you ever want to see a bunch of kids have fun you have to visit a wave pool!!! This was my first time in one and it made me want to be a kid again. We all did get to ride the "Batman"rollercoaster... Katelynn my oldest Granddaughter tried to get out of going but I told her she was my partner*wink*...after the hour long wait inline and we boarded she tried every excuse to leave. As the ride started up she hollered..."Oh Grandmaaaaa, I don't ever think I will forgive you for this!" I swear she was the loudest screamer on the whole ride, I never laughed so much and so hard in my life. When we got off at the end she turned around and wanted to go on again!!! Our family now has another roller coaster fan!!!I think Jon and I are going to have to make at least one trip there this year ourselves to check the park out from one end to the other. There seems to be a lot that kids aren't really interested in. But I have to admit, it really was a fun day with the kids and worth every second. We will take them again in the near future.

Well I think it's a very young Canadian Goose!! Anyways it definitely isn't shy it let me walk up to about a yard away! It just walked up the street then turned right into our yard tonight. It's been hanging around several hours now just walking around eating grass.

Joke Time

Linda and Jill were chatting over coffee. Said Linda, "I've been
experiencing a strange and painful side effect from coffee. I'm fine when I
drink it black, but if I use cream, or sugar, or both, I get a stabbing pain
in one eye."

Linda took a sip of her coffee. "Oww!" she cried. "There it goes again!"

Said Jill, "Take the spoon out of the cup."

She said. "I want something that goes from 0 to 200 in just a fewseconds. Nothing else will do. My birthday is coming up so surprise me!"* *He did just that. Our Annual July Backyard Campover

Every Year the weekend after July 4th our backyard fills up with family and friends for a big cookout, bonfire, campout, our own fireworks display and an afternoon at the beach or in the pool or on the trampoline! This year the menu consisted of Bar-b-qued chicken, Our Friend Tod grilled a big ham, grilled hotdogs, my famous potato salad, and macaroni salad, and of course my special baked beans. Plenty of beer, my Adult killer Koolaid, for us older folks and of course regular Koolaid for the kids. Most everyone stayed up till around 4am playing hide and seek on the property and in the adjoining woods. I made french toast and unlimited coffee for everyone as they wandered in thoughout the next morning. We figure we had nearly 50 people here this year and can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Kenosha July 2005 Fireworks

This Year my boyfriend Jon and I got to sit down at Southport Harbor in Kenosha Wisconsin on beautiful Lake Michigan right where the fireworks were launched from! It was an awsome night. Clear skies, no mosquitos, a small breeze, and the temperature was in the low 70's.
